Natural Grocers to Open New Iowa City Store on June 21
The grocer known as America's "Organic Headquarters(SM)" will open with a celebration including its signature 1950's-style community ice cream social, free samples and giveaways

LAKEWOOD, Colo., June 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Natural Grocers will open its fifth store in Iowa on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. The new 15,000 square foot store will open at 8:30 a.m. and is located at 1404 S. Gilbert Street, Iowa City, IA 52240.

The first 100 people to shop at the new Iowa City store will receive a free Natural Grocers Goody bag.

Natural Grocers will host a pre-opening invitation-only VIP event on Tuesday, June 20. The store will also host a free community ice cream social from 4 to 6 p.m. on June 21.

Grand Opening Celebrations

Opening day activities include:

  • 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. - Rise and Shine, It's Muffin Time! (gluten free muffin sampling)
  • 4 to 6 p.m. - Ice Cream Social (includes dairy free options)
  • All Day - Vendor demonstrations throughout the store

Customers can also get any dozen eggs for $1.99 during the month of June. Natural Grocers sells only 100% free-range eggs or better, which means happier, healthier chickens and a higher overall nutrient content.
